The above graphics are header and footer images I made for a friend’s computer parts website. The images were created using Photoshop as well as ImageReady for button animation and hyperlinks. Additionally, I created all buttons, graphics, and product photos for the website.
The above screenshots are from a school project in which I was required to change a virtual organization website into something more modern without changing too much content. All images were required to be taken from the current website so only design changes could be made.
I have also written various freelance articles including those listed below.
Controller Too Heavy? No Problem!
April 17, 2009
IKEA has released a new gaming chair called the Jesper (only available in stores). With retro-like style, the Jesper is designed to give gamers a helping hand while holding a console controller.
At first glance, one might think a gamer is to sit with his back on the backrest, but the backrest is not a backrest at all. Instead, a player is to face the “backrest”, sit on the lower portion straddling his legs on either side, and rest his hands on top while holding that pesky, heavy controller. Take care not to fall though – the Jesper sits 26 inches tall.
The Jesper is only available with a white bench so be careful not to spill your soda. However, the cover is removable and machine washable in case you decide to use it as a napkin. For a mere $69.99, the IKEA Jesper can be yours. Get rid of those tired, weak arms; bring on the back problems!
Netflix is Hiring! Will the PS3 be a Candidate?
April 20, 2009

Boasting over 10 million subscribers, Netflix is a pioneer in the DVD rental industry. In February 2009, a press release was issued by Netflix stating that over one million Xbox Live subscribers had activated Netflix on their consoles. But while Xbox owners are hanging out watching Netflix movies, PS3 and Wii owners are stuck just.. playing video games. However, this may be changing.
Netflix recently posted a job listing on their website seeking a Director of Engineering—Gaming Platforms. In the job posting, Netflix is looking for someone who has “…years of experience both building and leading the development of games on the current generation gaming consoles. You are familiar with several of those consoles…” Netflix also asks the candidate to have “experience with digital media on embedded platforms; ideally on one or more gaming consoles.” See that? Consoles. Plural.
If you fit the job description, apply for the job, and please bring Netflix to the PS3 and Wii. The rest of us need something to do.
